The Keynote Speaker at this upscale event will feature Scott Barretta on “The Musical World of Bud Scott,” a subject presented in cooperation with the Natchez Festival of Music. Scott is a Lecturer in Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Mississippi, the former editor of Living Blues magazine, the host of the Highway 61 radio show on Mississippi Public Broadcasting, a writer and researcher for the Mississippi Blues Trail, and the recipient of the 2016 Governor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts for his work in documenting Mississippi blues traditions.
